About the Journal

Indonesian Soil and Rock Mechanics is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that focuses on the advancement of knowledge in soil mechanics, rock mechanics, geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, foundation engineering, slope stability, mining geotechnics, and geohazard mitigation. The journal provides an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, students, engineers, and practitioners to publish high-quality research related to the behavior, characterization, analysis, and engineering application of soil and rock materials.

The journal welcomes original research articles, technical studies, case studies, review papers, and applied engineering analyses that contribute to the understanding and solution of geotechnical problems in civil engineering, mining, infrastructure development, environmental engineering, and natural hazard management. Emphasis is placed on studies supported by field investigation, laboratory testing, numerical modeling, analytical methods, monitoring data, and practical engineering recommendations.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, slope stability analysis, soil and rock characterization, foundation design, underground and surface excavation, landslide assessment, geotechnical monitoring, numerical and physical modeling, seismic geotechnics, mine waste dump stability, tunneling, ground improvement, and sustainable geotechnical engineering.

Through the publication of scientifically rigorous and practically relevant studies, Indonesian Soil and Rock Mechanics aims to support the development of safer, more efficient, and sustainable engineering practices in Indonesia and other regions with similar geological and tropical environmental conditions.
