Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The article/manuscript has not been previously published and is not being considered for submission to other journals.
  • The manuscript was submitted in Microsoft Word document format.
  • If available, please provide the URL for the references.
  • The manuscript was prepared following the GENIUS Journal template that we provided.
  • The text adheres to the style and bibliography requirements outlined in the Author's Guidelines/Template.

Author Guidelines

1. GENERAL GUIDELINES

GENIUS: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran publishes articles consisting of original thoughts, literature reviews, or research related to the development of educational science and has not been previously published in other journals. Manuscripts submitted to the editorial team have not been published in any other scientific journals or magazines and are not currently being submitted to other scientific journals or magazines for publication. Manuscripts are to be written in MS Word format (.docx), in Bahasa Indonesia, following the updated General Guidelines for the Indonesian Language Spelling and General Guidelines for Terminology Formation, except for the abstract, which is to be written in both Bahasa Indonesia and English. The text should be in Candara font, size 11, with 1.5 spacing and 0 pt spacing before and after.

2. WRITING STRUCTURE

Manuscripts are typed with 1.5 spacing on A4-sized paper, with a 2.5 cm margin from the top, sides, and bottom. The pages should be sequentially numbered on the bottom right of the paper, starting from the first page, and the page number for subsequent pages should be placed in the middle at the bottom.

Beginning Section: Title, author's name, institution, email, and abstract.

Main Section: Introduction, which includes the research problem, insights, problem-solving plan, and research objectives. The length of the introduction should be approximately 2-3 pages. The research methods should include the research type and design, population and sampling method, research instruments, and data analysis technique. The results, discussion, conclusion, suggestions, implications, and recommendations.

End Section: References, symbol explanations. The reference list follows the APA (American Psychological Association) style, and it should include references from already-published scientific journals.

3. TITLE AND AUTHOR NAMES

The title is written in Bahasa Indonesia, capitalized at the beginning of each word (Title Case), except for conjunctions/prepositions, which should be in lowercase. The title should be in bold, Arial Rounded MT Bold font, size 12, with 1 spacing and a spacing after 6pt. The title should not exceed 20 words and should be limited to a maximum of 3 lines. The title should be left-aligned. The authors' names are written in the column to the left of the abstract. The authors' identities should not include academic titles, should not be abbreviated, should start with a capital letter, and should not begin with the word "by." The order of the authors should be the first author, second author, third author, and so on (Candara 11, Bold, 1 spacing). The names of the institutions/affiliations (program of study, faculty, university) and the email addresses of all authors should be written below the names of the institutions/affiliations.

4. ABSTRACT

The abstract provides a brief description of the research problem and objectives, the methods used, and the research results. The abstract is written in a narrative style and consists of a maximum of 200 words, in single spacing, in one paragraph, without background, methods, results, and conclusions. The abstract is written sequentially in Bahasa Indonesia and English. The abstract is written in Candara font, size 10, regular, and single spacing. The abstract is accompanied by keywords/keyphrases, consisting of 3-5 keywords, with each phrase limited to a maximum of 3 words.

5. GENERAL RULES FOR MANUSCRIPT WRITING

Each subsection is written in Candara font, size 11, in bold, without numbering. For example:

New paragraphs are left and right-aligned without indentation, and there is no spacing between paragraphs. Foreign words are italicized. Tables and figures should have clear captions and sequential numbers. Acknowledgments should be addressed to professionals, departments, institutions, and other parties that provided technical support, funding, or other support.

6. REFERENCES

The Reference list is not numbered but is listed in the order they appear in the manuscript. There is no need to sort by publication year. Everything in the reference list should be cited in the manuscript. The currency of references is preferred within the last 10 years, with a focus on meta-analyses and systematic reviews. The maximum number of authors to be listed in the reference list is six. If there are more than six authors, use "et al." The number of references for article references should be a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 25 and should be limited to works published in the last 10 years. Abbreviations of journal names should follow the Index Medicus list. Manage journal references using Mendeley and the APA reference style.

Curriculum and Instructional Design

This section publishes scholarly articles focusing on curriculum development and instructional design across various educational contexts. It includes planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative curricula and instructional materials.

This section publishes studies on the integration of technology in education, particularly in supporting teaching and learning through digital media and platforms.

Assessment and Evaluation in Education

This section includes research on assessment and evaluation in education, focusing on the development and analysis of assessment instruments and learning outcomes.
